  3. Rose has made me a film star!  I have been doing historical re enactments
since 1970. I had the fortune to be an extra in 3 movies which gave me
a total screen time all of barely a few minutes. The projects were low
budget PBS movies including the John Adams one on the American
Experience series for PBS. But please believe I am no star.
I do it for the love of re creating historical events and not for movies.

Its a hobby that has become a way of life. If the Revolutionray War wasnt
enough, I also do Civil War re enactments and have done so these
past 26 years. Needless to say, I have a very interesting closet.

I was glad to share these few photos with my classmates.
Believe me, my love of history did not come from any inspiration
from any high school teachers I had, especially football coach Mr John Furey who I
had for US History. He was drawing football plays while he let us read the book on
our own during class time. I think we would have learned more from the
    school janitor!

  5. I met Sal while working for American Airlines and found out he knew a lot about Boston.  Well, yeah he knew a lot about Boston but thought civlization ended with 128.  Too bad I lived beyond the boundaries!  Well, to make a long story short we fell madly in love and I got envolved in his world.  And what an interesting world it has been.  I've traveled to many battle sights with him and made lots of friends.  I'm still fuzzy on history, but I defer to the numbers guy in our family.  Just give him a date and he can tell you what happened in  history. (usually!)
Sal and I got a chance to go to Italy a few years ago and fell in love with the Tucscan countryside.  We also went to Venice and it was too bad he wasn't paying attention when I got a gondola ride.  A fact he never lets me forget!
Being born and raised in Cleveland we try and see my mom once a year.  This is  especially great for Sal becasue I drop him off at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame early in the day and pick him up later on.  (He gets a "senior discount"!)
We just built a house in an active adult community..........55+.  Can't wait!

  6. It was really intresting for me to read about your involvement in this. I became intrested in this when I first learned about it during a trip to Williamsburg Va. I knew there would be people there portraying the people of the era but I had no idea that there would be re-enactors from all over the country to partake of this special event, the opening of the general courts or something like that.

This was one historical trip for me,we also went to gettysburg and ha historical tour of the battle ground. Our tour guide was a very very old man who was born in the house at the base of the battlefield, he could tell us every thing about the history. It was something my kids never forgot

thank you for your prayers it is domething I will always be thankful for
