Sharing an email I received from Peter Zaccone!

Dancers

Hi Rose,

I was able to view the Tampa photos, would have loved to have gone.

My business is changing, I have taken on the country club scene to teach dance.  I'm starting at Winchester C.C. and hopefully at  North Andover CC in September.  You have to be a member to take the classes.

Winchester C.C. is definite for September.  North Andover, not sure yet, I could use some assistance from a member who would like to take classes.

Thanks for the spot on the sidebar on The Lantern.

Prayer Request for Paula Taylor

I just received this email tonight  from Paula Taylor.  I copied and pasted it for you to read I also provided her email address for you to send her get well wishes and please let's pray:

DEAR ROSE,

I HAVE BEEN OFF LINE FOR A LONG TIME BECAUSE OF MY ILLNESS. I AM DOING BETTER NOW BUT FOR THE LAST THREE MONTHS I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING NECK CANCER. I HAD IT IN MY THROAT, MY NECK, MY TONSILS, MY NASAL PASSAGE AND MY PALATE. I AM ON A FEEDING TUBE. I HAVE NOT HAD FOOD FOR THREE MONTHS NOW.

I WILL BE GOING BACK FOR A CHECK-UP ON THE 12TH OF AUGUST AND A CAT SCAN. HE IS STILL CONCERNED ABOUT A LUMP THAT IS STILL ON MY NECK, JUST BELOW MY EAR. EVERYTHING ELSE IS GONE. IF IT IS STILL THERE WHEN I GO BACK, THEN HE IS GOING TO DO SURGERY TO REMOVE WHATEVER IS THERE. HE SEEMS TO THINK THAT IT IS FROM THE BIOPSY AND IS ONLY EITHER MY LYMPHNODE NOT SHRINKING BACK TO NORMAL OR IT COULD BE SCAR TISSUE LEFT OVER FROM THE BIOPSY.

41 years ago today!

Moon Walk

Let's roll the time machine back four decades. It was 41-years-ago that Neil Armstrong made that little jump off the ladder from the lunar lander: "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

Forty-one-years ago at 10:56 pm EST, on July 20, with 600 million people watching live, Apollo Neil Armstrong left the lunar lander, to being the first man to walk on the moon. The Original plan for Armstrong to make his first steps a few hours later on July 21, 1969, but Commander Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin couldn't sleep so they decided to do it earlier.

They left behind three cameras, some scientific instruments, two U.S. flags, and specially design moon boots which left behind a footprint that is still believe to be there since there is no weather to wash it away. But in 2009, NASA announced that they believe it is frozen water at the bottom of the craters.

Amazing!

Great Send from Ruthie Arvanian Bowler

Sistine Chapel

This is amazing! You can see panel by panel in detail and rotate 360 degrees. Play around with the mouse until you get the hang of it. Your computer may ask you to install extra plug-ins (they're free).

After the picture loads up, you can scan around by moving your mouse slowly in any direction.  In the bottom left hand corner is a plus & minus to zoom in and out.

Great Shares from Joanne Struz McCarthy

Hi Rose,

I wish all my July birthday classmates a very happy birthday and a year of good health, much wealth, and complete joy!

When I saw the list of names and saw Barbie Lagorio’s name, I recalled an interesting tid-bit that my mom told me many long years ago.

Barbie and I were born a day apart at the Revere Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 22 and I was born on July 23. Shhh, don’t tell, but she’s older than me! We were “nursery mates” and our moms were room mates. Talk about knowing someone for a long time! (LOL)

Extra special wishes to you for a Happy Birthday, Barbie!
