Someone has written these beautiful words!

Someone has written these beautiful words.
One must read and try to understand
the deep meanings in them.

They are like the Ten Commandments
to follow in life all the time.

1. Prayer is not a "spare wheel"
that you pull out when in trouble;
it is a "steering wheel"
that directs us in the
right path throughout life.

2. Do you know why a car's
WINDSHIELD is so large &
the rear view mirror is so small?
Because our PAST is not
as important as our FUTURE.
So, look ahead and move on.

3. Friendship is like a BOOK.
It takes few seconds to burn,
but it takes years to write.

4. All things in life are temporary.
If going well enjoy it,
they will not last forever.
If going wrong don't worry,
they can't last long either.

5. Old friends are like Gold!
New friends are Diamonds!
If you get a Diamond,
don't forget the Gold!
Because to hold a Diamond,
you always need a base of Gold!

6. Often when we lose hope and
think this is the end,
GOD smiles from above and says,
"Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!

7. When GOD solves your problems,
you have faith in HIS abilities;
when GOD doesn't solve your problems
HE has faith in your abilities.

8. A blind person asked St. Anthony:
"Can there be anything worse
than losing eye sight?"
He replied: "Yes, losing your vision."

9. When you pray for others,
God listens to you and blesses them;
and sometimes, when you are safe and happy,
remember that someone has prayed for you.

10. WORRYING does not take away
tomorrow's TROUBLES;
it takes away today's PEACE.

Great Send from Arthur Buonopane!

Hi Rose

Nice blog and you are right-my golf bag is by the door-not quite yet in my trunk.

We are supposed to start this Saturday but it ain't going to happen. Rain and possibly snow due Friday and maybe into Saturday but the real facts are it's still cold. Temps. in the low 40's but it's the cold cold wind that makes the weather outside miserable.

Meanwhile, I'll keep drinking my green tea.  Hope all is well with you.

Arthur

Great Shares from Dora DiBartolomeo Vickery!

Hi everyone....
Just a little up-date on me. As most of you know, we recently moved from Hanover, Mass to Goodyear, Arizona! We had purchased the house many years ago and just vacationed here, planning that when my husband retired we would pack up and move here. Well, he finally retired so we sold our other house and headed to the southwest. I must tell you that driving cross country was quite the experience !

Living here and touring the different areas has really opened my eyes at to just how beautiful this country is! My traveling was rather limited so seeing all of this and being a part of it is just amazing to me.

There are things that I do miss about the east coast but it was time for us to move on and explore more.

No Red Sox but lots of spring training camps here....We are with-in 30 miles (or so) of them....Lots of golf of course. We live on a golf course but have yet to take advantage of it but we will.

We are really enjoying retirement....

A message from Linda (Spagnolo) Lattanzi!

To my friend Rose,

Thank you for sending the e-mail from Arthur Matarazzo and to you for being so kind in thinking of Peter and for all your prayers.

Please let Arthur know that it was very kind of him and also to let everyone know that I would not have made it so far if it wasn't for my good friends from the Lantern.

Peter's condition has continued to worsen and we can only pray for him at this time.  God Bless you and all my friends.

Hugs, Linda (Spagnolo) Lattanzi

Great Sends from Richard Cummings!

Flowers do grow differently here; I thought you might enjoy the Rainbells. It is still too early for spring flowers but if one looks hard and long enough, there are surprises to be found.

Take care. = Rich

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all our Irish Friends!

Oh, there lived in old Ireland

A wee little man,

Known by the name of a Leprechaun.

A fairy shoemaker, none other is he

And he had the gift of wishes three.

Well I'm tellin' ya now

Should I meet him this day,

It is I who would boldly

step up and say:

Bless the friends that I love,

And the friends that love me,

And the friends of me friends

That's me wishes three.

Great Send from Fred Ciampi!

This is pretty cool sent by Rose!

A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward. Not only does it read the opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite..

This is only a 1 minute, 44 second video and it is brilliant. Make sure you read as well as listen...forward and backward.

This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled "u @ 50" by AARP. This video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch it all the way to the end.

Message from Billy Melchionno!

Classmates,

Lest we forget on this date March 1, 1955 on this hour between 4:00PM -4:15 PM, the loss of our classmate Pauline Riley who left us much too early in her short life! She left us all with an everlasting impression of effervescent vitality that we shall not forget!
