Last night I attended Mike’s 50th class reunion from Immaculate which was combined with RHS Class of 1961. It was a nice time and I saw many of the “kids” that I knew from that class. The most exciting part of the evening for me was meeting Joanne Angrisano Olson! She was there with her husband Ron and as always, she is, looking fabulous!

Joanne was unaware of The Lantern blog, so I sent her the link and I think that we’ll have a new class member on board! I know that you will be pleased to add her to our list of friends!

Thanksgiving Day is Approaching! I'm Thankful for my Forever Friends!

T is for turkey on Thanksgiving Day,

H is for "Hurry, I'm hungry!" we say.

A is for Auntie, she works and she mends,

N is for Native American friends.

K is for kitchen, the oven's on low,

S is for silverware, set in a row.

G is for Grandma, the one we love most,

I is for inside, where we're warm as toast.

V is for vegetables, eat them we try,

I is for icecream on top of the pie.

N is for never do we have enough dressing,

G is for Grandpa, who gives thanks for our blessings.

HI ROSE

THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES.  I AM DOING OKAY.  I HAVE BEEN GETTING A CAT SCAN EVERY 3 MONTHS BECAUSE THEY FOUND SPOTS ON MY LUNGS.

I AM ALSO GETTING A SWALLOW TEST BECAUSE I CHOKE ON FOOD AND MY DOCTORS FEEL THAT IT MAY BE CAUSED FROM SCAR TISSUE THAT FORMED WHEN I HAD ALL MY LYMPNODES IN THE NECK REMOVED. IT COULD ALSO BE FROM THE SEVERE RADIATION BURNS I RECEIVED.

I MAY NEED MORE SURGERY IF THE AIRWAY IS BEING BLOCKED.

I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER.  MY FAITH AND MY PRAYERS HAVE
GOTTEN THROUGH MANY A TOUGH TIME.
