I just got the biopsy report from my Dermatologist office and it is confirmed to be a Basal Carcinoma located on my right side about four/five inches above my waist right under the bra area. It has been there for about three years and each year my doctor kept saying, it was nothing but this last appointment he decided it needed to be tested. The biopsy was not too uncomfortable.
I will be having surgery on Friday, April 10th at 11:00 AM
I'm always requesting prayers for others and now I need them. I do believe in the power of prayers.
Diane Whiles (Peter Zaccone's girlfriend) offered to take me to the doctor's office, wait in the waiting room until the surgery is over and then drive me home. Is that sweet or what! Bless her for being such a good friend. I, normally do not like to impose on anyone but her offer is a blessing. I'm a tad nervous, make that alot nervous!
The doctor is going to do the surgery in his office, so I won't be knocked out. I hope he numbs it real good. I have a high tolerance to pain but I prefer not to be in any pain.
I will post again after the surgery is over. Thanking you all in advance, as I know I have all your prayers because you are the best friends evah!
Hugs, Rose

ReplyDeleteDear Rose,
I’m sorry to hear about your doctor’s findings from the biopsy. I’m not much in the prayers department, but my best wishes and hopes for your immediate recovery go to you. I am, though, a great believer in the mind-body connection in overcoming illness. So stay as positive as you can muster, knowing that a lot of your friends, far and wide, are pulling for you.
Your fingers-crossed classmate,
Steve =
Thank you Steve, I, too believe in mind-body connection and thinking positive. I appreciate your well wishes.

ReplyDeleteMY SWEET ROSE,
I WILL SAY A ROSARY FOR YOU. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE LITTLE STUFF.
I KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE FINE. GOD TAKES CARE OF THE GOOD PEOPLE, AND YOU ARE ONE OF THE BEST PEOPLE I KNOW. YOU WILL NOT FEEL ANYTHING WHEN HE DOES THE SURGERY. I HAVE GONE THROUGH SURGERY WHERE YOU GET JUST A LOCAL AND IT WAS FINE. DO WHAT I DO. ONCE YOU ARE SEATED OR
LYING DOWN, CLOSE YOUR EYES AND SAY PRAYERS ALL THE TIME HE IS WORKING ON YOU. WHAT YOU CAN NOT SEE YOU CAN NOT IMAGINE AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON, SO NEVER LOOK UNTIL IT IS OVER WITH.
YOU KNOW I AM A FIRM BELIEVER IN PRAYER. PRAYERS WILL GET YOU THROUGH
ANYTHING THIS LIFE THROWS AT YOU. TAKE CARE SWEET GIRL. I WILL BE PRAYING
FOR YOU.
LOVE YA
PAULA
Thank you Sweet One. You surely have gone thru so much yourself. I so much appreciate you saying the rosary for me. Bless you. Hugs, Rose

ReplyDeleteHi Rose:
I am leaving for the four o'clock mass soon and will say prayers for you.
I can share your concern. I have been going to a dermatologist for the past fifteen years and on three occasions he has has to do surgery in his office to remove suspicious moles that he did not like the looks of. Thankfully, all of them were not problematic. Keep good thoughts!!
I think that we all spent too much time at Revere Beach in out younger days. But how could we not help it with that beautiful beach enticing us and having it at our front doorstep.
Sandy and I send our biggest hugs to you.
Arthur
Thank you Arthur and Sandy. Yes, we were all on Revere Beach often. Hugs, Rose
DeleteI had the surgery on April 10th and now on the road to recovery and mending slowly it seems. The doctor said no more using the community pool in my complex. He claims they are too dirty and said it would be fine if it was a private pool in your own backyard. There goes my exercise routine.
ReplyDeleteThe gym hurts because of my R/A. Ugh.
Thanking all of you for your prayers and support.
Hugs, Rose
