Message from Billy Melchionno!

Classmates,

Lest we forget on this date March 1, 1955 on this hour between 4:00PM -4:15 PM, the loss of our classmate Pauline Riley who left us much too early in her short life! She left us all with an everlasting impression of effervescent vitality that we shall not forget!

  1. I was devastated to hear about the tragedy on the radio the morning after her brother stabbed her 17 times!

Miss Pritchard asked that I clean out her desk in school. I remember shaking and it was the first funeral I attended as a young girl. All that attended McKinley School and who knew Pauline........we were all in shock.

I was at Pauline's house the day before. Pauline was teaching me how to play the game Parchese.

    Soooooooooooooooo sad.

    Hugs, Rose

  3. I never knew Pauline, I did not move to Revere till I was in the eighth grade. I do remember hearing about it. It was quite a tragic loss. Very nice of you to be paying her your respects all these years later...
