Great Send from Arthur Buonopane!

Hi Rose

Nice blog and you are right-my golf bag is by the door-not quite yet in my trunk.

We are supposed to start this Saturday but it ain't going to happen. Rain and possibly snow due Friday and maybe into Saturday but the real facts are it's still cold. Temps. in the low 40's but it's the cold cold wind that makes the weather outside miserable.

Meanwhile, I'll keep drinking my green tea.  Hope all is well with you.

  1. Arthur,

When my son called me a couple of days ago and said it was freezing up there and the News indicated more snow, you came to mind as I knew you were so anxious to get on the green!

On the other hand, glad you are still on the green tea regime....remember 3-5 cups daily and decaf is possible. I prefer the Bigelow!

    Warm regards to Sandy!

    Hugs, Rose

  2. I thought of you this morning when I was heading out....The golf course was quite busy ! The interesting thing about NE is that you can have snow one day than a beautiful the next....So keep the clubs by the door.....

  3. Rose and Dora:
    Just read your blogs.
Had to cancel our tee time for Saturday. Was going to be too cold. But now at 10:27 p.m. Thursday it's snowing to beat the band. anywhere from 4 to 7 inches expected and around 2 to 4 in Boston which means the golf courses will be covered once again. Sigh: Will this winter even end here.
Rose, thanks for your "hello" to Sandy and Dora good to know the golf courses are thriving there.

  4. Arthur,

    Oh no..........not more snow! Yikes!

Well, keep polishing up those clubs or come to Florida for a week of fun in the sun and every day of golf. However, did I mention we are under a Tornado watch right now?

I hope you have another hobby other than golf to help pass the cold winter months of New England.

I am a social member to the Boca Teeca C.C. just a block down the street, however, I never took up the game. I should now that I have the time but I know it's an expensive sport so it may not fit in my budget. LOL

    Hugs, Rose
    Always warm regards for Sandy!

  6. Dora,
You aren't far off. My golf buddies and I for years would golf in the winter even with some snow on the ground as long as the golf course was opened. There were times when we couldn't take the flagstick out of the golf cup because it was frozen in-really!Those were the days but now that we are older and look back it's not going to happen anymore. I'm talking about courses in Lynnfield, Saugus, and Stoneham. We sure did have a lot of laughs.

    Rose:
We wound up with about three inches of snow here in Winchester but to the west about six inches or more fell and in New Hamp. about 12 inches depending on what part of the state you live in.This is going to set our golf schedule way back. But we waited this long so another week or two won't hurt.
