Boston You Are In Our Prayers!

Two bombs struck near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, turning a celebration into a bloody scene of destruction.

Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said Monday night that the death toll had risen to three. Scores were injured at the scene.

One of the dead was an 8-year-old boy, according to a state law enforcement source.

Hospitals reported at least 144 people are being treated, with at least 17 of them in critical condition and 25 in serious condition. At least eight of the patients are children.

At least 10 people injured had limbs amputated, according to a terrorism expert briefed on the investigation.

Memories of the Boston Marathon will be forever changed after yesterday's events. The medical staff who expect to treat exhaustion, dehydration, blisters, cramps and other running related injuries could never have imagined they would be treating bomb victims with missing limbs. So sad...

I was here in Florida praying.  I was in a panic as the location of the bombing was very close to my daughter's office.  Fortunately, she took the day off for a long weekend vacation.  Yet, I had many calls to make to try and contact my very large family.  I have relatives that live in the city.

I just heard something on the News today that they were investigating an individual in a Revere apartment building????

Hope all of you are safe!  Hugs, Rose

  2. Forwarding message from Paula Taylor regarding the Revere man.

THE GUY THEY THOUGHT MAY BE ONE OF THE BOMBERS WAS REALLY
A SPECTATOR. HE HAD CUTS AND HIS HANDS WERE BURNED. THEY
CHECKED OUT HIS APARTMENT ON THE BEACH AND THEY CLEARED
    HIM.

  3. Hi Rose.....

The bombings have affected so many people. I am so sad. I can burst into tears at the snap of the fingers.

This is sooooo tragic. I attended a community prayer vigil last night.

Thanks for your visit and comment, too, on my blog. Susan

  5. forwarding message from Paula Taylor:

GOOD NEWS. THEY HAVE THE OTHER BOMBER HIDING IN A BOAT ON
FRANKLIN STREET IN WATERTOWN. HE HAS NO WHERE TO GO. HE WAS WOUNDED LAST NIGHT AND REFUSES TO LEAVE WHERE HE IS.

THEY ARE TRYING TO GET HIM ALIVE IF THAT IS AT ALL POSSIBLE, JUST
IN CASE HE IS AFFILIATED WITH ANY OTHER PARTIES.

THERE HAVE BEEN A COUPLE OF EXPLOSION FROM HIS AREA. IT MAY BE
WHAT HE HAS LEFT OF ALL THE GRENADES AND BOMBS THEY HAD.

  6. Police captured Dzhokhar Tsarnaev this evening ending the search for the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

His brother 26-year-old Tamerlan, was killed Friday. The only better ending to the story would be that both brothers were killed.

Experts say that is is better that the brother was captured alive so that they can ascertain why the bombings and killings occurred. Personally, I feel one less *sshole in this world better serves my purpose.

Now, the taxpayers have to pay for the medical, legal, and room and board in jail for this terrorist. He does not deserve a glass of water in my opinion!

The FBI was watching the older brother for a couple of years....there had to be a reason for it.

We have to stop letting these people in our country. We have to learn to shut the door for a while.
