At the hop coca cola Memories of the Double E at lunch time......wow, those were the days!

Drive-In Movies

Yep, we all recall the drive-in movies with the fogged up windows! LOL

Coca Cola We all loved the different flavored Coca Colas but in our day they came inCoke glass bottles!

Meri, you were a good sport taking all the teasing about the "Spit Balls". So, for our next Reunion, I have found on UTube how to make a paper spit ball gun. Perhaps maybe more accurate than Rich's Ruler! LOL Let's see who wins this next battle! LOL

I saved the best for last....."The Spit Ball"!

It's all about the right heels!

Remember the garter belts and nylon stockings!

  2. Aside from Meri and her spit balls, we have yet to hear from "the little red headed girl" Ellen Crowley. She really needs to get in on this Seems all the little boys had crushes on her , did she know how much power she had back than...
What I would love to see , if anyone has them, would be some old pictures of people places and things. I don't know if you can do it,but if you can it would be great. We did have some a while ago and they were great.

  3. Dora,

Yes, Ellen Crowley's name has popped up several times since I started the Lantern. I, personally have tried to contact her several times and left a message on her recorder...if in fact it was her number. I went by the information received on John Henry's List and the last known address for Ellen is Medford, MA.

I never got a return call. I would love to have her join in on the fun. So, if anyone out there is in touch with Ellen Crowley....please give her my email address and the email address of the Lantern.

    Hugs, Rose

  4. I keep think that Ellen Crowley was the "little red headed girl" of the Charlie Brown comics. Know I guess we have to make Meri the "Darla" of the little rascles... LOL Boy I missed a lot not living in Revere in my early years...

  5. Oh, Oh, I asked before if anyone had any old pictures and if they could get them on the page. Well let me add to that.
Pictures of what now stands where our beloved high school was....
What about pictures of what is where the double is is now.
Old and new pictures of our favorite haunts. If you have a way of posting them it would be great. So many have moved and have not seen Revere in years...
Just a thought....If you don't have the means to post pictures maybe someone could do it for you.
If you have no pictures but a means to post them well.............
    Just a thought....
