George Manzo...May he rest in peace.

Joyce Giberti March 17 at 2:34pm Report
Rose. Just got a call from my brother in law Ronny Giberti. He notified me that George Manzo died this afternoon at about noon. Arrangements have not yet been made but he thought maybe it could be posted on the Class 62 website. He has really suffered over the last year and is finally at peace.

  4. It is with great regret to learn of the passing of old friend George Manzo.

I can remember big George in the 6th grade with his flaming red hair and his obsession with studying about World War II. His booming voice will surely be missed.

I was glad we were able to see him at the last big reunion. We were all sorry to hear of his long suffering this past year and its very disheartening to lose, yet another classmate.

    Rest in Peace big George!

  5. Rose: I feel devastated by this sad news. I had been in touch with Joanne since I last saw George and while Joanne said he wasn't doing "great" I just didn't realize this was going to happen. But, thanks to you, I was able to visit George at the rehab in February and have a mini reunion.

I'll always remember George dancing all the latest crazes that came out when we were in high school and at our reunions. God bless him!!

  6. Hi Rose,

I'm so very sad to hear about George Manzo. He was a nice guy. We spent some time at the last reunion, talking about the fun we had in high school. George lived at the bottom of my street.

  7. Arthur,
Joanne expressed that George was so happy that you took the time to visit him and then all the cards and emails started to pour in from our gang from The Lantern! He was amazed by all our love. I was so touched that you went to visit him. You made him so happy during his final days. God Bless You for having such a good heart.
    Hugs, Rose

  8. You made it all possible with this website, Rose. I'm so happy George realized he had many friends that never forgot him. He was a real nice happy guy all those years right thru high school.
God will make sure George has a place right on the dance floor.
