In keeping with the theme Richard's daffodil photo and Wordsworth quote, I did this painting a few years ago, and the poem---a lot less classy than the one Richard sent-----is from a long ago episode of The Little Rascals.
I don't know how to post this so I'll leave it to you to post if you'd like. I used to love "The Little Rascals".

High above a daffodil,
I couldn't hardly reach it.
Said I to me, I think I will
Get it for my teacher.
I climbed to reach the daffodil
Out on a limb so thin,
I tumbled down like Jack and Jill
And skinned my little chin.
(from The Little Rascals)

Ruth,
ReplyDeleteI loved the painting. Art is someting I always dreamed of being able to do. I spent a few years in Mr. Sarno's art class and he tried to help me as best he could.I went to fashion design school for a few years but loved the trips to the art museum more than anything. The ability to create my vision on paper continued to escape me. The visions were there, I just could never transfer them. Thanks for sharing
Oh yes, you gave us a whole new side of the "Little Rascles". I loved them to...
ReplyDeleteIt's "And skinned my little shin", not chin.
