Hi Rose,
What an exhilarating day we had on Saturday, May 15 for the Great Strides Walk at Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield. The weather was beautiful and the turn-out was phenomenal. Our enthusiastic team, Team Star Striders, arrived eager to start the walk. I understand that around $60,000 was raised. My small, but loving team, raised more that $4000 of that. I am so proud of them. All of us who walked in memory of Ronan are so grateful to all of the caring people who so generously gave to support our cause. Every penny counts in the effort to find the cure for CF. We had a wonderful time and will definitely participate again next year.
It is important to raise awareness of this terrible disease. Would you please add a special “thank you” to my RHS classmates who donated on-line? I was deeply touched by their kindness and generosity.
