I received a lovely surprise from Donna Toothaker Ying on Xmas Eve!

FedEx delivered this beautifully decorated box from Donna Toothaker Ying yesterday on Christmas Eve!  I just had to take a picture of it.

It was quite a surprise and inside was many, many sweet gifts that she observed from my Roses Are Read Blog.  Inside the box:  a miniature shoe and miniature handbag that are also photo holders, a book with an angel doll and a lovely poem, paper plates with snowman napkins, a pair of miniature ice skates ornaments for the tree and this amazing festive box!

Thank you Donna.  Wow, how sweet and thoughtful of you!

I called Donna to say thank you and she said she started this little collection of things in November and had fun doing it.  She felt it was the least she could do to say thank you to me for bringing all of us "Classmates" together and she said she is so appreciative of The Lantern which I created on June 1, 2008 and I had no clue how to do this and gather us all together and it took some time to catch on and here we are today all conversing with each other and having luncheons, being there for each other through our happy moments and our sad moments.

Donna said she is not too computer savvy and finds it difficult to leave "comments" but wanted to let me know how much she enjoys The Lantern!

It is my pleasure to keep the Lantern going for everyone.  I can't do it without your input so keep on sending me your stories to copy and paste for others to see what's going on in your life and I have the fun part of creating a graphic to go along with your story.

Thank you my dear friend.
Hugs, Rose
