Prayer Request for Sal Carmosino!

I received an email from Sal this evening and I immediately called him at home after reading it.  Sal was in the Emergency Room and after a series of tests:  EKG, Chest X-ray, Blood Work and finally a CT Scan.  They found that he has a nodule in his lung.  They also found that he has an aneurysm in his heart.

He has a follow-up appointment with his doctor and will also be referred to a Cardiologist.  So, with Sal's permission and using his exact words:

"I need St. Jude again and any support I can get....I am in shock and disbelief, as I always thought I took care of myself pretty well except for some minor annoyances......I guess no one is immune to anything."

I know I can count on our Forever Friends for prayers to St. Jude.  Tomorrow, I will go to my church and put Sal's name on the board to pray for him and I'm asking all of you to please pray.

I will keep all of you posted with updates as I receive them from Sal.  In the meantime, keep praying.  I strongly believe in the power of prayers and Sal does too.

You're the best!  I know I can count on all of you.

Hugs, Rose

  1. Sal,
I already said the rosary for you and will continue to pray.

Easy to say, but try to stay calm and keep me posted whenever possible.

    Hugs, Rose

  5. Sal,
My prayers are with you and Carolyn. I will continue to pray to the Blessed Mother for good news about your condition. Miss Mafera would say to you, "Chi la dura, la vince", who endures will win. I know that your faith and love will see you through this.

    Love,
    Joanne N.

  10. Sal:
I went to church this morning as I said and then came home and called my golf buddy, Father Dave, ( a real priest who has been a priest for 55 years yes, 55 years and he will put you at the top of his list in his daily prayers. If anyone has "pull" in high places this man does. I know for a fact because he beats me three out of four times we play for $2.00.
He has helped me in the past. Sometimes you meet people ( like Father Dave) later in life for a reason and this may be one of them.
    God Bless!

  16. Rose,

I have been unable to leave a comment.

I am devastated over the news. I have left Sal a voice mail and asked him to call me if he feels up to it. (I will keep trying to reach him.)

I am not coping very well, lately. My son Fred is in the last stages of his fight with Colorectal Cancer. ( He has maybe a couple of months left.)

Between Fred's health and now Sal's, it is almost too much.

We will be heading up to New England about Jan 23rd, for an indefinite stay in Lynnfield, so we can take care of my son.

I will talk to you after I speak to Sal.

    Fred

  18. Rose- I attempted to email Sal Carmosino but my email could not be delivered. Can you help me to deliver this email to Sal. Thanks
Sal- Sorry to hear of your medical problems. I am familiar with your medical issues. My mother was diagnosed with the same medical problem at age 86, fifteen years ago, and we consulted with Dr. Richard Cambria ,Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. While my mother passed away from a cardiac problem unrelated to her aneurysm, I was very impressed with Dr. Cambria, his background and his very candid diagnosis of my mother’s medical problem and the complex nature of the surgery required to deal with the issue.

I highly recommend: Richard P. Cambria, M.D. ,Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Massachusetts General Hospital,15 Parkman Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02114. Dr. Cambria also serves as President of the Society of Vascular Surgery.

Good luck, my prayers are with you.

    John Henry
