This look familiar to some sorority girls?

I couldn't create a graphic for sorority girls but since Meri created this graphic for our yearbook, I thought it would be great to add the cheerleader with the blonde hair to this Post!  As you can see, I'm enjoying my new All In One printer, scanner, copier!

P.S.  Remember to click on the cookie shaped like a Christmas Tree and watch the Reindeer hop and then stop to eat it!

  3. and who out there still has their sorority sweater ? I believe our meetings were on Tuesday nights.....
I also remember that the boys "hung" out at Pandolfo's the boys from I.C. "hung" out at Burkes. They were thier corners....LOL There were also another group of boys that "hung" out at Paonies.(sp?) Oh yes, our dancing style was different from any place else we "Traveled" . We could do this to any beat of music.....no matter how fast, slow or what ever....always the same. And Meri I do remember how you would hold you head high and back straight....very neat.....

  4. Meri,

  5. Dora,

I don't have my sweater and wish I did. I remember when I was young and foolish, I washed it and it shrunk because it was made of wool yarn....bummer.

Does anyone still have their Sorority Sweater?

  6. It took me a while but I finally was able to picture the sorority sweater. . . white with grey trim, the "regulation" football-sweater, long cardigan style, one button (?). . . and have no idea what happened to mine. And, while we're on the subject, where is my gold, cheerleader-megaphone charm which I wore on a gold chain, too? I'll have to ask my sister, I'll bet she wore it and. . .
Oh well, memories keep coming back about those days.
Yes, Dora, I remember "traveling" so well. Especially dancing with Mitzi Bernazani (RIP) at Father Brennan hall at one of Father Ducey's Friday night record hops. . . oh, what fun it was! What to wear, fix our hair, but had to be there. . .such an event to look forward to! What boys to dance with???
Can so many years have actually passed by when the recollections are so vivid?

  7. marMeri (or Merri),
We use to bring our own "records" to the dance. Father Ducey would be outside a lot of the time making sure older boys/men didn't slip in and to be sure all was well. When he was inside, he made sure there was 'room for the Holy Ghost"....It was a simple dance, no DJ nothing just a bunch of kids having a good safe time....
Oh yes, I think it was a rather rickety ole record player too......
