Joanne Strazzulla McCarthy:
How wonderful that you took on this project! Thanks so much. You do such a great job. Here’s a bit of info about me: My high school sweetheart Michael and I are still a couple. I have three beautiful grandsons who all live in California. After having taught for 32 years in the Revere Public Schools, I am starting my third year of a most enjoyable retirement. I did teach at some of the wonderful old schools that many of my classmates attended with me. In some of my assignments, such as at the Max Achenbach, Cassandra M. Barrows, and William McKinley, I found myself teaching in some of the same classrooms in which I was a student! Mike and I are doing some traveling and keeping very busy. We both have taken up golf and I love it. Life is good! I am looking forward to your next entry, Rose. Thanks again for making and sharing “The Lantern”.
Janice Scandone:
I have been living in St. Petersburg, Florida for 20 years! I miss my sorority girlfriends and the Class of 62. Last year, I had the pleasure of having Dora DiBartolomeo Vickery and Rose Franciosa Sisti fly down to visit me. It was a blast! I will be visiting my life long friend Rose in a few weeks in Boca Raton, Florida then I am headed for California for a vacation. I love to travel.
Salvatore Carmosino:
Since I left high school, I never finished college...married twice...3 children..... I worked for major airline for 37 years...retired 4 years ago.....lived in Mass, Illinois and now Conn.
My hobbies are historical re-enactments, sports enthusiast, visiting historic places and watching old classic movies. I retired from active sports: softball and hockey. Whenever I scan the yearbook, I often say to myself…..”Whatever became of this one and that one”.......the main question at the reunion was ...So what did you do with your life after high school? PS…the kids in picture posted on the Lantern look like something from the Little Rascals movies from the 1930’s.....don’t recognize any of them...
Joanne Nardone:
I think that you are a very talented and caring person. Your blogs are wonderful to read and your graphics are the best. I'd like to share with my classmates that I am retired from teaching fifth grade in Medford, MA for 6 years now and am enjoying my free time. I baby-sit with my sister two days a week. They are her grandchildren. I'm spending this week in NYC and will be meeting Susan Hayward, the actress’s granddaughter, Ally at the Waldorf Astoria where I will be staying with a mutual Susan Hayward fan. We are looking forward to seeing her and the rest of New York City. Thanks for having this opportunity to share our lives since we all graduated from Revere High. Take care and God bless.
Richard Cummings:
Hi Rose. Just posted something in the Lantern. I was married a couple of times, 4 kids (2 Adults). Will most likely be in San Diego in August for my eldest daughter's wedding--still not sure of the dates. Thinking about moving back in 2009...but I have reached the roads in the wood...decision time coming.
The Spit Ball legend lives on! But I was not the only one...maybe I just got caught more and had to spend time in the hall. We were just wild and crazy kids letting out our teenage hormonal changes...you don't even want to know what went on in wood-working class!
Dora (DiBartolomeo) Vickery:
Reports that she is still hospitalized in the Brockton Hospital for over a month now. Many complications set in and she wants me to express to everyone that sent cards and made telephone calls, how grateful she is. She was overwhelmed and her exact words were “I didn’t realize so many people cared”. Dora is expected to be transferred to a Rehab place soon. Get Well Soon, Dora!
Diane (Screnci) Beatrice:
As we all know……is not computer savvy so I, Rose hereby, by proxy announce for Diane that she is so excited and pleased with the Lantern. By the excitement in her voice via telephone, she is real happy with the results of “The Lantern”. She at least learned how to turn the computer on and read the Lantern. We will take baby steps and wait for a “Comment” posted on the Journal. LOL Chuckie, what’s your excuse?
Donna Toothaker Ying:
Hi Rose, You are so amazing, the way you are able to write things down and express yourself. Let's try to get a bunch of people together this summer. Maybe even in the Fall. It was a great feeling to see old friends. I wondered why it had been that long. Love your blog, and journals, artwork is amazing.
Rose (Franciosa) Sisti:
BTW, I'll throw in two names of who is in that darling photo in the previous entry. Now, look at it good and see who you remember? One is Ellen Crowley and another is Richard Cummings. Think of who your Beachmont friends were?? Can you guess who the others are?
I appreciate any and all suggestions

And our high school was terrific. I had fun and got a great education, too. In fact, when I went away to school, to an exclusive college among girls from wealthy communities and influential families,I often knew more than they did as a result of the fine teachers we had in the accelerated class.
