Turn Up the Volume!

You may need to watch it twice; once to watch the Burma Shave signs change and once to catch all the picture plus listening to the music of the Statler Brothers.

THIS IS REALLY GREAT!!!

  2. Robert Scott (Scotty) Just like to say hello to all my classmates. I've been living in Maine for the past 39 years. I'm retired and I live in the town of Sanford. I've been divorced for the past 22 yrs. It was great to see so many of you at our 45th class reunion. I think it is a great idea for us to have this blog to keep intouch and to let each of us know what may be happening in our lives. Hope more of you will get involved it will be great to hear from you.

  4. Thanks...I found a reference through that page to the Jean Shepherd radio shows.  In the 1960s, at night I would listen to his shows on AM radio from WOR, New York--sorry to say I did listen to radio from New York!  Some nights the reception was great, sometimes not.  He used to recite poetry from Robert Service--When I used to hitchhike around Europe in the 1972, the book "The Best of Robert Service" was always with me.   I still have that dog-eared, marked up copy. Anyone else read the poetry about the Yukon by Robert Service--for example The Shooting of Dan McGrew, or Cremetion of Sam McGee?

Shepherd's shows were full of satire and I never failed to laugh when listening to them.  Anyone else listen to him?

If you have not heard about him, there is a good web site at

    All the best.  Rich
