  6. As we are about to turn the page on yet another year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has transpired over the last 12 months. For perspective on this, I enjoy watching the end-of-year reviews and summations on TV; the magazine photo spreads of "the year's highlights and lowlights"; and especially, the newspaper (in my case, the Boston Globe's)list of who has passed away in 2009. The many deaths of famous and not-so-famous people and their accomplishments is something I am fixated upon. . . have to read it every year. Their (the Globe's) "in memoriam" column, every year, leaves me teary-eyed and reflective.
But, on another note, I would like to welcome the new year, and say that I hope it is better than the last (indeed, how can it not be?) and also, to wish all you January kids a Happy Birthday. Especially, to you, Rose. . . but hearty wishes to all of you January babies and I hope that you enjoy your special day!

  8. Hi Rose,
Happy, Healthy New Year to you. I want to wish you a wonderful Happy Birthday with many, many more to come.
Hope all your holidays went well. Are you sitting there feeling nice and warm while we are here looking at snow and snow, lol. I was away again in Aruba and came home to such cold weather that I wanted to get back on the plane and return. Oh well.
Take care and enjoy your special day.

  9. Happy Birthday, Rose.
Im sorry I dont have a fancy computer card to send to you. I tried to get one of those
    but didnt seem to take....

In any event, look at the positive things about your birthday.
Since most, if not all, of our classmates were born in 1944, you may be the youngest of our class.

You will now be eligible for senior citizen rates...even
though we dont consider ourselves seniors.

You live in warm comfortable climate even though you
are far from your family and friends. You dont have to
fight Winter weather and snow...like we are doing today.

  14. Dear Rose: You deserve a big party for all you have done with your website. You have people talking to each other and meeting each other and they would probably never have done so without your website and motivation. You are the woman!!! In addition to that, I am able to find out what my classmates and friends are doing as a result of your postings. Keep it up. I so look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Be well and Happy New Year and Happy Birthday, Joe Greenberg
