Great Send by Richard Cummings -- Faces of War!

Hi Rose...now we have the memorial to General Grant..the Civil War theme is very big in DC, obviously. But these life-size bronze statues have a life, a haunting life of what men went through (and go through) in combat. Not pretty, I know but thought provoking. Flowers come next.
Ciao for now. Rich

  1. Rich,

Looks like you are having a blast site-seeing all over D.C. with camera in hand! You are so talented with that "good eye".

I know that Joe Greenberg lived there for quite sometime and Meri did too for a while.

I would love your third book to be all about your photography! Did you know that Picasa.com allows you to make a hardcover book of your blogs, pictures, etc.

Wow, I would love that of The Lantern in Hard Cover! Cool idea but expensive beyond 20 pages!

    Hugs, Rose

  2. These pictures remind me of the only line I remember from a verse that I had read many years ago about war " and young men die ".
There is an entire story in these faces and we need to be nudged every once in a while to feel and remember that.
