Hi Rose,
Some photos from my yard to share with the Lantern. I'm not gifted with the camera as is Richard. I'm mostly point and shoot, but I love photographing flowers and later using them as reference for art work.
Enjoy, Ruthie

Ruthie,
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are gifted! Thank you for sharing your photos with us.
What a lovely garden you must have in your yard.

Ruthie:
ReplyDeleteI love your photos of flowers. I have a very small yard but I am
constantly adding flowers. I have
a special fondness of rosses but I
have to say mine don't look like yours. Yours are truly beautiful.
Living in Florida we are constantly spraying for bugs, or we
are dealing with a drought. I have
two rose trees and about 5 rose bushes. If you are ever down this way
be sure to contact me. I definitely could use some hints on caring for roses.
I really miss lilacs .
Keep the pictures coming.
Janice
Great photos, Ruthie, and what gorgeous flowers! You've inspired me to try to post some of my own.

Ruthie those flowers are just beautiful. I am not to good with flowersI think I can best esplain how bad I am is to tell you of the time I brought home a lovely plant and my kids asked me about it. I proudly told them that I bought it because I thought that it was so pretty that I wanted to have it. They commented that if I really liked the plant I should have left it in the store and they reminded me of the graveyard of pot holders under the deck of plants gone bad. Of course they were right.....This is why I admire such beautiful pictures as yours. Thank you for sharing....
ReplyDeleteHi Janice,
ReplyDeleteJust a quick note re your comment about lilacs. . . I have to say that this year in New England was the best year for lilacs.
Everywhere you went, the lilac bushes were full of the most beautiful, fragrant blossoms. Evern my two relatively small ones in my backyard had full, gorgeous blooms.
And Scott and I drove up to Annisquam, a small village in Gloucester (near Rockport) and it was a profusion of lilacs! All different types, from white to light lavender to the intense, dark purple. . . all so fragrant! It was a delight and I'm so lucky to have been there at the "right time" (mid-May, this year) to enjoy it.
Hope you can come up to New England next year, perhaps, to smell the flowers!
Meri
